Talking things through with someone else can be very useful when you are first setting up in business. PRIME has its own free mentoring services, which we are rolling out across the UK at the moment. It takes time, as this is a properly run scheme, and all the mentors are vetted and trained by us.

PRIME mentors are volunteers who can help clarify initial business thoughts and help plan first steps. PRIME mentoring can provide support at the very beginning of a business journey, before developing a business plan with expert advice from an experienced professional advisor.

Mentoring via the Intenet

A non-profit organisation called Horsesmouth runs a free online mentoring scheme. This is a general service, covering all ages and topics from school bullying to bereavement. But there is an active business area where PRIME is involved.

At www.horsesmouth.co.uk you can search for mentors, browse their profiles and learn from their experiences through anonymous, one-on-one conversations. You can also volunteer to be a mentor yourself in any area where you have something to offer – it doesn’t have to be connected with business at all.
